If you hang with us in RI over ‘Mona you have had this bowl of deliciousness. There is never anything left over, especially if Henry Milder is visiting.
This feels a little like giving away a trade secret – these cookies are my Kerri Bars. I have never liked ‘cakey’ cookies, even the classic TollHouse recipe is too much for me. I literally think I Googled the descriptive words of what I wanted in a cookie and found this recipe and it has been my go-to recipe ever since. One of the ways this recipe differs from others is NO EGGS. The other difference is really low heat. Enjoy!
This is so good, it is now a family recipe. We first served it the day after Thanksgiving and then on Christmas morning. Now, we need to find an excuse to make it again.
This has evolved to become more of a casserole than traditional rolled up enchiladas. It tastes the same and is a lot quicker to assemble.
We make this Coffee Cake every Christmas morning. We really do need to make it more often though, it is that good!
This is Jackie Elder’s famous carrot cake. The original recipe came from the Amherst Garden Club in the 1950s. She has since changed it up some and it is so delicious it is our family’s go to birthday cake.
